RESOLVE: Reconciliation thru Youth – kick-off youth exchange

February 2019

Erasmus+ RESOLVE: Reconciliation thru Youth activities kicked off in London in February 2019.

RESOLVE: Reconciliation thru Youth (RESOLVE: Recon4Y), is a Youth Development mobility programme, which aims to use the power of reconciliation tools such as Sport for Peace, Simulation Games and People-to-People Dialogue to resolve local and community conflict which especially affect young people in the partnership countries.

In London, Resolvers from Sweden, UK, Georgia and Israel participated in a week of reconciliation activities. Meeting professional peacebuilders including Jo Berry, founder of Building Bridges for Peace (http://www.buildingbridgesforpeace.org), visited St. Ethelburga’s Centre for Reconciliation and Peace and learned about its background and how the centre came into being through conflict.

Resolvers also enjoyed some quiet time for reflection in St. Ethelburga’s very own Bedouin tent.

The next stop for RESOLVE: Reconciliation thru Youth is Tbilisi, Georgia in May 2019.
